Satin (A Material World #2) by K.C. Wells
Time after time this author writes books that stick....
Some you read and can just move on but with K.C. Wells they are all memorable and Satin is no exception.
While undercover, Detective Joel Hunter first lays eyes on the most gorgeous woman ever, the voice, the clothes, the way she holds herself, it's all perfect. Except for the little fact that she is actually a he called Ross.
When Joel finds out he is shocked to say the least but he can't seem to stay aways and goes out for coffee with Ross just as 'friends'
There is a pull there that he can't explain and when things develop Ross is left unsure about who the detective really wants to be with. Does he want the real man behind the persona or is Satin who he wants?
Sadly it was a short book and I wanted it to go on and on. It was perfectly described, the way both men felt, the way in which Ross uses satin when he's nervous (the real thing), how Joel is worried about what others might think until he risks losing it all.
I know the next one in the series will be just as good and I can't wait to read it.
