All about Mickey Taylor

So here at Books Laid Bare Boys we have our very own cover model, the stunning, multi talented Mickey Taylor.
When I started the blog I knew I wanted a photo of Mickey for the main page and although he had no clue who I was,
he agreed to let me use his picture.
I feel you all needed to know a little bit more about him and just how amazing he really is so here goes.....

HIS MUSICAL JOURNEY

MICKEY TAYLOR began his musical journey at age 21; his first venture in 2014 was “Video Games” by the enigmatic Lana del Rey.

That same year Taylor featured on famed drag queen Virginia Wright’s single “Professional”. His career was launched, and the 2015 single “Pain” was released ahead of his debut album “Puppets Lament”.
Even though Taylor was an unsigned artist at the time he collaborated with youtube star Chris Crocker, and producer Aleks Rey on the latter.

The path to creating this first musical effort drove him back into the studio to pour his heart out into the
follow up album “Midnight Palace”. “Sirens in Chicago” was the first track to be released before “Derelict ft. Omahon”, “Harlequin”, “Chills” and “In The Night” which was the biggest hit and which, just like “Chills”, was produced by American producer ØMC.

Taylor’s second musical outing was such a success that he has since undertaken a
year long tour throughout the UK and will soon embark on a World tour through the US, Europe and Australia.

One fascinating facet of his artistry is his ability to shine a light on LGBT issues within his music and videos. Taylor has always been a spokesperson for
the LGBT community stating "I think it's important that as an LGBT artist I represent the community I am a part of”. Not just relying on words, he has been a supporter and an activist, often donating benefits from shows to various LGBT charities including those battling HIV. Taylor has also been a strong advocate when it comes to anti bullying and body image. Through his extensive social media following he has made an unmissable impact on his fans and people around him.

“High Treason” will be Taylor’s third studio album. A retrospective
look into the sins he committed and suffered from. Seven tracks will form a visual album, a visual journey into his seven deadly sins. All videos are directed by Taylor himself alongside various contributors including acclaimed director Mr Pam for “In the night”. Some of Taylor’s closest friends make appearances in the series of videos such as model Gabriel Phoenix and famous writer and actor Theo Ford. Luxuria and Tristitia are the first two sins to be translated into a visionary series which promises to allow Mickey Taylor to grow as a talented artist.
