The Cop in Unit B by Kris Cook

This is one of my favourite series and although the back story was good, unlike the other books, I felt the actual relationship in this one happened too quickly.

One of the main reasons I love this series is because we see things develop between the main characters with interactions from all the other residents of Mockingbird place but this time it just seemed to go straight in to it.

Mike is having to stay with Brexton while his unit is being repaired. While out with his younger sister and her friend, shots are fired and the girls go missing.

Brex is there to lend a hand in looking for them and seems to be let in to places where only police would normally have access to in situations like this. It all seemed a bit confusing to me.

Brex has his own problems to deal with in the form of parents who cast him and his sister aside when they didn't conform. When he gets a phone call from his mother, Mike is at his side to help with the emotional rollercoaster he is about to ride...

As I said, the actual storyline is a good one but the men go from friends to being together in the blink of an eye and it just didn't feel the same to me.

Having said that it was, as usual written very well and ultimately had the HEA that I love in this series.

I guess it's a personal thing but I miss the initial romance and the way it leads to more....

4 out of 5 stars
