Racing the Sky by Layla Dorine

I absolutely loved everything about this book....
I can't even begin to imagine what Nicky felt as one by one he lost the things he loved.
Young, alone with only a few friends, he is betrayed by the man who had been his best friend for years. Becoming Terry's partner had always been about what Terry needed, Nicky gave up a lot to satisfy him so when he won a scholaship that Terry wanted it as the end of his life as he knew it.
Feeling alone, he went for a drive and over pie he found his future.
Gray had run away from his own problems years ago and was quite happy working in the diner.
When Nicky agreed to spend the night with him, he figured it would be a one night stand, after all who would want someone his age?
What followed was a revelation for both of them as they realised that everything they had believed in was nothing compared to what they felt for each other.
When tragedy strikes though and Nicky begins to give up, will he succeed in pushing Gray away or will he see that the man is what he needs?
4.5 out of 5 stars.
