Ok so I'm in love with this authors Homestead series so I was a little bit wary going in to this as I didn't think she would be able to match it for me.
How wrong I was!!
This book is brilliant...
Ryan has been there, done that and lived a life that most of us wouldn't ever want to experience so when Lucas comes in to the diner, he recognises something in the young man that worries him....
Slowly they form an unlikely friendship that turns in to more and when Lucas goes missing, the Ryan that he has tried to hide returns.
Fast paced and very gritty, the storyline kept me hooked till the last page.
Not a massively long book but it packs a punch.
