Here Without You by JJ Harper
I loved the first book in this series so I have been eagerly waiting for this one. I have to say it was worth the wait...
I absolutely fell in love with the men in this story, they were a perfect fit for each other and the dynamic was just brilliant.
We start off with Archer and Mallory, a match made in heaven as far as they are concerned. It takes Mal a while but finally Archer brings him round to his way of thinking and the relationship goes from strength to strength.
When tragedy strikes, Mal is left feeling lost, cast aside and more alone than he ever thought was possible. He leaves to start a new life, knowing that his heart is staying behind with the man he loved.
Changing his name seemed like a good way to start again in Cooper's Ridge.
We find him getting a job at the Last Drop Inn with all of our favourite men from the first book.
Carter, as he is now known tries to put the past behind him and eventually starts to date Dan. What he doesn't realise that Dan is connected to his past and it makes for a fantastic twist to the story.
This book envoked quite a few reactions, I wanted to throw my kindle at one stage, I took several deep breaths and even shed a tear.
This is one of the best books I have read this year so far and I can't wait to see who arrives in town next!!
5 out of 5 stars.
