A Little Bit Like Love by Brooke Blaine
Rich, successful businessman Jackson seemed happy on the outside, I mean what more could a man want?
He was supposed to be away closing a business deal for his father and working out how to propose to the woman he had known all his life, what he was really doing though was thinking about his one and only love....
They had met at school, it had been a love that burnt bright and was all consuming but when Jackson's father found out he had ripped their world apart.
No son of his was going to be gay!!
Lucas had tried hard to move on. He had become South Haven's resident sex god, any hole for the night was welcome but especially if they looked like the one he was trying so hard to forget.
The pain still haunted him and he didn't know if he would ever get over it.
When Jackson decides to try and find Lucas, the meeting brings all those old feelings to the surface and they begin to discover exactly what went wrong.
Can they see past the lies and mistakes? Is the passion still there? Do you ever really get over your first love?
This was a beautifully sad book but with a HEA.
I loved both men, the story was written perfectly and I especially liked the little flashbacks so you got the full picture of what went on all those years ago.
It was one of those books that draws you in and refuses to let you leave till the last page and I can't wait for the next one...
5 out of 5 stars.
